The Lions have continued there outstanding form in the Autumn season, extending their undefeated run with yet another win over opponents The Ting Goes.

It was a night full of goals and milestones. The Lions began the night by congratulating Aleksandar Nikoloski on his 100th game for the club, as well as welcoming the return of star player David Jovanovski. The first half saw nine goals, which does not do justice for the amount of missed chances the Lions had had. G.Stojanovski was like a rock in defense as usual, Petrovski was stopping shots from every angle, D.Jovanovski's successful dribbling was happy to be seen by fans, Karevski was instrumental both in attack and defense with the most covered kilometres on the day, M.Paunkoski's pressure was felt by the opponents, Nikoloski's presence was felt physically and D.Paunkoski continued his superb goalscoring form. D.Paunkoski completed his hat-rick in the first half, with other goals coming from a cheeky finish by G.Stojanovski and a sublimely placed free kick by Nikoloski. Our opponents The Ting Goes, who are famously known for the counter attacking football and efficiency had pulled four goals against our boys in the first half, ending the half with our boys in the lead 5-4.
The second half was a frightening one for our boys, as they were nearly made to rue the many missed chances of the game. With another 3 goals to D.Paunkoski's name, he finished with a double hat-rick and extended his lead on the top goalscorer list. The Ting Goes also managed to pull another 4 goals against our boys, but it was no problem as Nikoloski soon put our boys in the lead once again with a beautiful finish from a quick corner. However, the Lions went on to miss many chances which resulted in many conceded shots by our opponents, but goalkeeper Petrovski rose to the occasion stopping everything that came his way. The Lions led by 1 for the last 10 minutes of the second half, but eventually their hard work on the training pitch and level of fitness proved too good for The Ting Goes as M.Paunkoski slotted an easy finish with an open goal, and the highlight goal of the day came when Karevski played a fast pass to Jovanovski who was alone upfront and dummied the ball which breezed past the goalkeeper for a goal. The scores ended at 11-8, with the Lions coming away with a deserved win continuing their winning and undefeated streak of the new season.
We would like to thank our fans, as well as cameraman and commentator Peter Dupes for his hard work on matchday. Our Lions will look to improve on this performance and put away arch rivals The Untouchables next week.
