Our Lions have notched up their 10th win in a row of the season, making it their second most successful streak after their famous 16 win streak.

With four major exclusions for the Round 10 clash, the Lions were looking to extend their unbeaten run against last place Bundy FC. S.Stankovski, M.Paunkoski, D.Jovanovski and A.Nikoloski were all ruled out after failing fitness and medical tests Saturday afternoon, sidelining them along now out for the season G.Stojanovski. Our medical staff have confirmed the worst, with G.Stojanovski's injury taking much longer to recover than expected. They have decided to rest him for the remainder of the season before travelling to Skopje, Macedonia in late June for transfer negotiations with Vardar Futsal Club, which he will be accompanied by his agent Slavica Stojanovski. The Lions had to call upon a former rival player Bobi Petrovski, who made his first appearance for the Lions and officially becomes the 20th player to wear a Metalurg Jersey. Alongside B.Petrovski, A.Petrovski started in goals, D.Paunkoski and T.Paunkoski started in defense while C.Nastevski and H.Karevski started up front.

The Lions began the game strong, quickly scoring the opener with D.Paunkoski's left foot strike finding the bottom corner. Coming as a shock to the fans, the Lions then surprisingly dropped intensity until late in the first half, conceding three goals in quick succession putting last placed Bundy FC in the lead and with momentum. It was evident that the many exclusions was playing a part with the team chemistry, but it had never stopped our boys before and they were ready to grind out the rest of the game. C.Nastevski was denied multiple times in front of goals and so was B.Petrovski. H.Karevski was once again dominating with his defensive work rate, however after being sidelined for a long time, T.Paunkoski's fitness was proving to haunt him in the first half. D.Paunkoski picked up his second of the night just before half time, reducing the deficit to 1 goal and putting our boys within striking range of an equaliser.

The second half took not only the fans but also the players by surprise, with Bundy FC netting another three rapid goals within the first 5 minutes of the half. With 13 minutes left in the game, the Lions were down by 3 goals and out of momentum, but that all changed when debut player B.Petrovski netted his first goal for the club, a rocket left foot shot which bet the keeper to the near post. From this moment onwards, a shift in momentum saw the Lions dominated the remainder of the game. D.Paunkoski netted his third for the game before C.Nastevski netted a brace, all within 6 minutes. With D.Paunkoski sitting in defense while having an attacking corner, his positioning saw him net another 2 absolute bullets from long range after balls spilled out into his path from the corners. H.Karevski and T.Paunkoski were instrumental in almost every goals scored in the second half, and new signings B.Petrovski and C.Nastevski finally showed some great link up plays with D.Paunkoski. With a very intense second half by the boys, they slacked off with one minute to go conceding an easy goal, but the fight and spirit showed just like in previous weeks brought the 3 points home continuing our unbeaten run to 10 wins in a row.

Well done boys and congratulations to Bobi Petrovski for becoming the 20th player to make an appearance for Metalurg Lions. Samo Napred!
