Returning from the Easter break, the Lions were looking to continue their superb form in the league this season but would have to do so with three major exclusions.

Todevski’s men who were missing Nikoloski, M.Paunkoski and D.Jovanovski started off the game shaky however immediately picked up the pace of the game peppering the opponents goal with shots from everywhere. It wasn't long before the returning G.Stojanovski broke the deadlock with a belter from long range which went right into the bottom left corner. The Lions new fill J.Kotaleski, who made his first appearance for the club was huffing and puffing as well as complaining the smoking is bad for you but still did the job completing every pass in the game. Karevski was huffing and puffing like Puffing Billy running a mock around all the players as well as being strong defensively. Soon after, D.Paunkoski extended the lead with a cheeky finish from close range chipping the goalkeeper. However, just before the half was over, a lapse in the Lions' defence resulted in a goal in which ended the first half with the Lions in the lead 2-1.

The second half brought out more excitement from both teams with more shots completed in the first 5 minutes than the whole first half. Kotaleski had a chance to extend the lead from close range but did not connect with the ball. The Lions were dominating with shots from everywhere and it was only a matter of time before D.Paunkoski extended the lead to 3-1 with a brilliantly placed free kick. The Lions then went on to concede two counter attack goals which locked the scores in at 3-3 for around 5 minutes. Neither team could hit the back of the net, but with the increasing number of fouls against the Lions, our boys were rewarded a 10 metre penalty. D.Paunkoski stepped up and slotted it home sending our boys into the lead. To end the game, Stankovski finished off a superb volley which left the keeper with no chance, being the highlight of the game.

Our boys fought to the very end and came away with a deserved win, but a lot of credit goes to our opponents who challenged us and brought out the best of us. We would like to thank the fans who turned up, and our boys will look to continue their fabulous form in next weeks game.
